Injury-plagued fast bowler Josh Hazlewood has been ruled out of the upcoming World Test Championship Final between India and Australia. Despite putting in his all during recent training sessions in Formby and Beckenham, Hazlewood is still managing an Achilles injury and a side injury that flared up during the IPL 2021.
Australia Drafts Michael Neser as Replacement
Australia’s Chairman of Selectors, George Bailey, revealed that Hazlewood was close to being given the green light but they are aware that the upcoming schedule means this is not a one-off Test match. As a result, the 32-year-old has been replaced by Michael Neser.
