The drama between India and Pakistan for the ICC World Cup 2023 has yet to come to an end. With their match scheduled to take place in Ahmedabad, a new drama has arisen, with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) now seeking permission from their government to travel to India and take part in the tournament.

PCB’s Decision on Travel to India for World Cup

PCB Chairman Najam Sethi has confirmed that the team’s participation and travel to India for the World Cup will depend on the decision of the government. The PCB has also written to the International Cricket Council (ICC) stating that they cannot unilaterally approve the draft schedule for the tournament.

PCB’s Letter to ICC

Sethi said, “We have written to the ICC that we can’t give approval or disapproval to this (World Cup schedule). It’s our government who has to decide, just like when it comes to India, it’s their government that decides.”
