The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to announce the support staff of the Women’s team prior to the Asian Games 2023. Amol Mazumdar is tipped to be the coach for the two-year duration and the official announcement is expected soon. The team will be equipped with batting, fielding, and bowling coaches in addition to Mazumdar.
Nooshin Al Khadeer to Lead Interim Coach for Bangladesh Tour
Nooshin Al Khadeer will be in charge as interim coach for the Bangladesh tour. The former off-spinner has a wealth of experience in coaching, having been part of the Railways team, the Under-19 coach, and Gujarat Giants in the Women’s Premier League. It is yet to be confirmed whether Nooshin will remain an assistant coach after Mazumdar is appointed.
India Set to Begin Bangladesh Tour on June 9
Harmanpreet Kaur & Co will be playing three T20Is and ODIs as the India tour of Bangladesh is about to begin on June 9. Mazumdar will not be travelling with the team, which explains the delay in the announcement from BCCI.
