No broadcaster, BCCI to live stream Duleep Trophy & Deodhar Trophy games

BCCI to Live-stream Domestic Matches on its Own Website

In the absence of a broadcaster, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has taken the initiative to live-stream the Duleep Trophy and the Deodhar Trophy matches on its own website. The commencement of this new venture from the apex cricket body of the country is set to begin on 12th July, with the finals of the Duleep Trophy.

The BCCI has been unable to find a proper broadcaster to telecast the domestic matches of the country. Therefore, the matches will be streamed on bcci.tv. All the important domestic matches will be broadcasted by the BCCI on its own website, including the Duleep Trophy finals.

To provide commentary for the games, the BCCI has reached out to many commentators for both English and Hindi coverage. Apart from the Duleep Trophy finals, which will feature the West Zone against the South Zone, the Deodhar Trophy will also be broadcasted by the BCCI. The main reason for this is the unavailability of any broadcaster at this time.

The previous deal with Disney Star ended back in 2018, thus leaving the BCCI with no other option but to stream the domestic matches on its own website. This is a great move by the BCCI as it will enable cricket fans from all over the world to watch the matches without any hindrance.

Conclusion

The BCCI’s decision to live-stream the Duleep Trophy and the Deodhar Trophy matches on its own website is a step in the right direction. This will help cricket fans from all over the world to watch the matches without any interruption. The commencement of this new venture is set to begin on 12th July with the finals of the Duleep Trophy.
