Sourav Ganguly gives VERDICT on BCCI-CAB clash over World Cup Tickets

Tension between Cricket Association of Bengal and BCCI

The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have been experiencing tension as the latter is displeased with the former’s announcement of the ticket prices for the ICC World Cup 2023 games at the Eden Gardens. According to The Telegraph, the apex cricket body is vexed as CAB had declared the rates of the tickets without consulting them beforehand. The World Cup is scheduled to start on October 5 and will conclude on November 19.

Sourav Ganguly’s Stance

The former BCCI President and Indian skipper, Sourav Ganguly, visited Eden Garden and stayed there for more than two hours on Monday. When asked about the BCCI-CAB issue, he responded that it is totally the CAB’s jurisdiction and they will handle it.

CAB Official’s Statement

A senior CAB official informed The Telegraph that Ganguly had gone to the Eden Gardens to observe the ongoing renovation work.
