Asia Cup 2023 Schedule Finally Out: Pakistan and Sri Lanka to Co-Host the Event

After a long wait, the schedule for the Asia Cup 2023 is finally out. Jay Shah, President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) released the fixtures for the tournament, which is set to start on August 30.

Hybrid Model of Hosting

The tournament will be co-hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka, using a hybrid model. This means that teams will be travelling back and forth between the two countries for their matches, instead of a caravan model.

Pakistan’s and Bangladesh’s Group-Stage Fixtures

Pakistan will kick-off their campaign on August 30 in Multan. They will then travel to Kandy to face India in their other group-stage game. If they manage to qualify, they will play their first Super 4 match in Lahore.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh will face Sri Lanka in Kandy on August 31. They will then play Afghanistan in Lahore on September 3. If they make it to the Super 4s, Tamim Iqbal’s side will travel to Lahore again for their game against Pakistan/Nepal on September 9.
