West Indies Provisional Squad Announced for T20I Series Against India

The Cricket West Indies (CWI) Senior Men’s Selection Panel has released the provisional roster for the five-match T20I Series against India, which is set to kick off on Thursday, August 3, at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad.

Traveling Squad to Include ML2023 Winner Nicholas Pooran and Shimron Hetmyer

The West Indies squad will include Nicholas Pooran, the winner of the Major League Cricket 2023, and Shimron Hetmyer. The entire 15-person provisional squad will travel to each game, from which a 13-person squad for each game will be chosen and the starting XI will be selected.

Shai Hope and Oshane Thomas Receive Recalls for T20 Series

The wicketkeeper/batsman Shai Hope and the fast bowler Oshane Thomas have also been recalled for this series. Hope’s last game was in India in February 2022, while Thomas’ was in Pakistan in December 2021.
