Ajit Agarkar Set to Join the Indian Squad for the Second Test against West Indies
After a resounding success in the first Test match versus West Indies in Dominica, the Indian team is now heading to Trinidad for the second and final Test. Joining them will be the Chairman of the Selection Committee, Ajit Agarkar. He is scheduled to join the Rohit Sharma-led squad prior to the second game.
Agarkar has been busy since taking on his new role, having chosen the Indian squad for the upcoming Asian Games in China. Salil Ankola, a member of the selection committee, is already traveling with the squad, and Agarkar will be meeting with the team to have a conversation.
The Indian team was given a couple of days off after the first Test ended in only three days, and will be heading to Trinidad on Monday. It is believed that the BCCI Chief Selector will meet with the team and speak with both the skipper Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid.
It is reported that Agarkar will be having a discussion with Rohit and Rahul before finalizing the squad for the India Tour.
