Asia Cup 2023 to Go Ahead Despite Turmoil

The wait is over and the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has confirmed that the Asia Cup 2023 will go ahead as planned. After months of turmoil, the ACC has accepted the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) hybrid model for the tournament and taken into consideration the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) reluctance to travel to Pakistan.

Hybrid Model for Asia Cup 2023

The ACC has confirmed that the Asia Cup 2023 will be held from 31st August to 17th September 2023 and feature the elite teams from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Nepal. The tournament will be held in a hybrid model with four matches to be held in Pakistan and the remaining nine matches to be played in Sri Lanka.

BCCI Invites Tender for Front Jersey Sponsor

In other news, the BCCI has invited a tender for a front jersey sponsor after the exit of Byju’s. It is unlikely that the sponsor will be in place by the time India plays West Indies in the upcoming series.
