The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) Selection Committee has chosen a squad that can best be described as a Khichdi. The squad comprises of players who are likely to be part of the Asian Games 2023, the Asia Cup 2023 and the World Cup 2023. Ruturaj Gaikwad has been given the vice-captain role in the IND vs IRE (India vs Ireland) T20s. Senior pro Jasprit Bumrah will captain the side after his return from a long injury layoff.
