Jasprit Bumrah likely to be Part of Indian Squad for Ireland Series
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary, Jay Shah, on Thursday confirmed that Indian pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah is all set to be a part of the Indian squad for the upcoming series against Ireland. Bumrah is currently undergoing practice sessions at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru in order to attain match fitness.
The series will consist of three T20I matches which are scheduled to take place on August 18, 20 and 23. The squad for the series is expected to be announced this week.
Bumrah’s Road to Recovery
Bumrah underwent a successful back surgery in March and has not been a part of any competitive cricket since a T20I match at home against Australia in September. His back injury had also caused him to miss out on a lot of action in the Asia Cup.
