India Suffers Injury Scare Ahead of WTC Final Against Australia

Team India received a major injury scare just one day prior to the commencement of the World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia. Indian captain Rohit Sharma was struck in the left thumb while batting in the nets. Following which, the Indian opener was attended to by the physio. Although he returned to the nets, he did not continue and after a brief chat with head coach Rahul Dravid, he left the session.

Notably, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, and other key batters skipped the optional practice session but Rohit Sharma, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Umesh Yadav turned up and hit the nets.
