MS Dhoni undergoes knee SURGERY, to decide IPL future in December

MS Dhoni Undergoes Successful Surgery on Knee

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni recently underwent a successful keyhole surgery on his left knee in Mumbai. The 42-year-old had been dealing with a dodgy knee since the start of the IPL 2023 season and upon recovery from the surgery, he will have a better understanding of how his body is responding.

Confirmation of Dhoni’s Surgery

CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan confirmed the news to Cricbuzz. He remarked, “I spoke to him after the operation. I cannot explain what the surgery is about but we have been told it is a key-hole surgery. He sounded fine in our conversation.”

Dhoni’s Struggles During IPL 2023

Throughout the IPL 2023 season, Dhoni had been playing with a heavily strapped left knee. While he appeared to be in good condition when keeping, he often batted at No. 8 and didn’t look as swift while running between the wickets. Despite his physical limitations, he led CSK to the playoffs.

Conclusion

MS Dhoni’s successful keyhole surgery is a relief to both CSK and his fans. Now that he has recovered from the operation, he will have a better idea of how his body is responding at 42 years of age. This will also help him to decide on his IPL future.
