Mumbai Selects 35 Probable Players for Off-Season Camp

The Mumbai selection committee, headed by former Indian cricketer Raju Kulkarni, has chosen 35 potential players, including renowned names like Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav, to attend an off-season training camp next week. The list also includes Ajinkya Rahane and Shardul Thakur.

Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav Unlikely to Participate

However, the participation of Rohit and Suryakumar is unlikely as they are currently in England for the World Test Championship final against Australia starting June 7 at The Oval. Shreyas Iyer, who missed the entire IPL due to a lower back injury and is currently recovering after undergoing a surgery in mid April, has also been named for the camp. The BCCI has stated that Iyer, who will also miss the WTC final, is slated to report to the National Cricket Academy for rehabilitation in two weeks’ time.

Conclusion

The Mumbai selection committee has selected 35 potential players, including Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav, for an off-season training camp next week. However, their participation is uncertain due to their current commitments in England. Shreyas Iyer, who is recovering from a back injury, has also been named for the camp and is expected to report to the National Cricket Academy for rehabilitation in the near future.
