Preparations for the Upcoming ICC World Cup 2023
As India gears up for the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has been busy putting together two sub-committees to manage the event. These two committees are the Working Group of 5 office bearers and the Infrastructure and Subsidy Committee.
Working Group of 5 Office Bearers
The Working Group of 5 office bearers consists of the President, Roger Binny; Secretary, Jay Shah; Vice President, Rajeev Shukla; Treasurer, Ashish Shelar; and Devajit Saikia. Each of these office bearers will be responsible for overseeing 2-3 venues for the ICC World Cup. President Binny will be in charge of Chennai and Ahmedabad, Secretary Shah will be overseeing Delhi and Dharamsala, Vice President Shukla will be monitoring Hyderabad and Bangalore, Treasurer Shelar will be keeping an eye on Pune, Lucknow, and Guwahati, and Devajit Saikia will be looking after Kolkata, Trivandrum, and Mumbai.
Infrastructure and Subsidy Committee
The Infrastructure and Subsidy Committee comprises of Anirudh Chaudhury, Prabhtej Bhatua, A Shankar, and Arun Dhumal. This committee will be in charge of overseeing the infrastructure and subsidies for the tournament.
