Rishabh Pant Unavailable

KL Rahul as Full-Time Keeper?

At first, there were talks of Rahul being a full-time keeper in Tests as well. However, due to concerns over his fitness, the selectors have not pursued this option. A senior BCCI official told InsideSport, “It’s not possible to get Rishabh back for the World Cup. He needs time, and more importantly, he needs longer time to get back in the keeping role. Rahul is our designated keeper for ODIs and there are also Ishan and Sanju as backups.”
